Und da ist er , der erste, lang erwartete Teaser zur anstehenden „Invincible“ Animated Series aus dem Hause Amazon Prime Video.
Die Serie basiert auf dem gleichnamigen Comic von „The Walking Dead“ Co-Schöpfer Robert Kirkman sowie den Zeichnern Cory Walker und Ryan Ottley.
Die extravagante Superheldenserie lief beim US-Verlag Image Comics bzw. Kirkmans eigenem Studio Skybound für über 144 Ausgaben, bevor die Serie 2018 offiziell beendet wurde.
Seit Oktober 2019 bringt der Ludwigsburger Cross Cult Verlag die Reihe in üppigen Paperback-Veröffentlichungen erstmals in vollständig in deutscher Übersetzung auf den Markt. Meine Besprechung zu Band 1 und 2 gibt es hier und hier.
Robert Kirkman - der mittlerweile einen Exklusiv-Vertrag mit Amazon Studios hält - steuerte vor gut zwei Jahren eine Animated-Adaption des Stoffs an, welche er selbst mit seinem Skybound Studio sowie anderen Kreativen produzieren wird.
Wann genau die bisher auf 8 Episoden angelegte Serie starten soll, ist bisher nicht bekannt.

CULVER CITY, Calif. – October 8, 2020 – Amazon Prime Video today released a teaser trailer from Robert Kirkman’s (The Walking Dead) upcoming, hour-long animated series Invincible, as part of Kirkman’s appearance at New York Comic Con’s Metaverse, which is now available to stream on the NYCC official YouTube channel.
The teaser trailer gave fans their first look at what to expect from Kirkman’s television adaptation of his iconic comic book, including fan-favorite characters, high-flying action, and all the gore audiences have come to expect from the Invincible comics.

From The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, and based on the Skybound/Image comic of the same name by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, Invincible is an adult animated superhero show that revolves around seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Invincible, Kirkman’s second-longest comic-book series, concluded in February 2018 after a 15-year run.
