Während sich Al Ewings and Joe Bennets Arbeit am Gamma-Goliath langsam dem Ende nähert, rückt anscheinend eine neue „Alpha Flight“ Mini-Serie heran. Oder besser gesagt: „Gamma Flight“, denn so wir das Team seit Ewings Arbeit an „Immortal Hulk“ genannt.
Der Comic soll insgesamt 5 Ausgaben umfassen und u.a von Ewing selbst verfasst werden. Autorin Crystal Frasier wird ihm dabei als Co-Autorin zur Seite stehen - auch wenn es vermutlich eher anders sein wird, just sayin’.
Visuell umgesetzt wird „Gamma Flight“ von Lan Medina. Nach aktuellem Stand dürfte die erste Ausgabe im Juni 2021 für den US-Markt anstehen.
Ewing kommentierte die Ankündigung wie folgt:
„Gamma Flight is an opportunity to explore some of the concepts and plant some of the seeds from Immortal Hulk in their own space, building off the found family that came together in those pages and putting them into action against some strange and ugly doings in the unexplored corners of the gamma world. [...]
We’ve been ricocheting ideas off each other for a while on this one, and I suspect the result is something that’ll tickle Hulk fans old and new.“
